Hello, and happy thanksgiving (tomorow) to all of you wonderful people! I have so much to be thankful for this year! God, friends, family, supporters, your prayers, love and encouragement, and a good year so far in Thailand! But right now I am really thankful for answers to prayers. Let me tell you about one of them...

Hi Everyone! As I find myself blessed with some internet time, I thought I'd give you a brief accounting of the Lie Ka Tone festival. I'm sure I have ampaly slaughtered the name, but to my American ears, that's what the festival's name sounded like, so I appologize to any of you who actually know how to say/spell it. So with that disclamer, on with the e-mail!

Hi everyone! As nothing outstanding has happend lately, I thought I'd give you and accounting of my motercycle adventures! I started learning to drive the motercycle (which I have nick named Elsy) a couple days after I got to Thailand. The first lesson was kinda exciting. PiDuang had just given me instructions on how to drive it. Then jokingly cautioned me: "don't run into that car over there!" Well, as I got on and gave it what I thought was a little gas, Elsy went racing across the street headed for that very car! I frinally remembered where the brake was and stopped about 4 inches from the neighbors nice new toyota. So needless to say, Elsy and I didn't get off to the greatest start

Hello to all over the world from sunny, hot Thailand!! Yeah, I know it's been a while since I've let you know what's going on in my life! I for one detest group e-mails, but alas, what choice do I have with so not to much internet time?? sorry! Last week, the Wilsons decided that they were going to go visit the province of Nan where they used to live. They were going to stop at several villeges and encourage the adventist believers there. The orrigional plan was to leave at 8am. But the day before, the truck started to act up so it was in the shop and wouldn't be done till 1 pm. So the kids and I had a "fun" day of school. ( Asside from the normal spelling test and occasional flash cards, we try to have a fun day on fridays.) We wanted to go swimming like we did a couple weeks ago, but with the whole situation being kinda unpredictiable, we couldn't. (yes, they have REAL swimming pools in Thailand, and you can actually swim in a swimsuit instead of skirts like you poor SM's in Palawan! ) So we did sand art, drawing, learned some new songs, and had an extra long PE class.

Nashville, Tennessee. Tuesday, September 13, 2005. 8:45am... At that time tomorow, I will be leaving the good ol' US of A and headed to different country, on a wild and crazy adventure to join the ranks of the already launched 2005 AFM SM's! The money has been raised, the training compleated, the luggage packed, and the last will and testament written...just kidding! But just about all the preperations have been made to leave. I'll fly from Nashville to Chicago, and then from Chicago to Bankock, Thailand. And that will be one miserable long flight... around 16 hours of flight! I'll get to Bankock at 11 pm, and will spend the night there, then the next morning I will take a short flight from Bankock to Chiang Mai. It's gonna be interesting doing it all by myself, and kinda intimidating, but I know I'll have angels provided by your prayers. It will be intersting trying to find my hotel though... anyway, just keep me in your prayers. I miss all you guys!! I'll be praying for you as you raise the reast of your money and get ready to launch! Later ~ Sha
