Hey guys! I have been so enjoying reading all your updates! It’s exciting for me to see how God is challenging you, and all the things you’re learning. I miss the mission field overseas very much, so hearing your stories has been a big help to me. Thank you! Right now, I thought I’d take a few moments and share with you about how my mission and life here have been going.
A month or so ago we had a major missions push here at SAU. AFM had a “banquet” for interested students. That was a lot of work and stress…but God moved in amazing ways. When I thought all was lost, He blessed more than I ever thought possible. I believe there is a lot of interest in missions on this campus…but also a lot of hesitancy. Please keep this in your prayers – that those who God is calling will answer the call. Many returned student missionaries here have set a “recruiting goal.” They’re stepping out in faith and asking God to give them a certain number of new student missionaries. Keep them in your prayers as well!
School has been really busy…just trying to get back into the swing of things. It’s been a struggle for me. But now that the semester is just about over (ahh! Exams!), I think I’ve finally begun to settle in. Work has kept me busy as well. In all likelihood, I’ve been involved in too much. But God is teaching me – and I’m learning slowly – how to set boundaries and know my limits. We serve an incredible God! He constantly amazes me.
Now, for my favorite personal news item…I have begun dating/courting/whatever-you-want-to-call-it a wonderful young man: Paul Meyer. He was an SM in the Philippines. I can’t begin to describe the way God is using this relationship – for His glory, for our growth, for so much more. God is good.
Well, those are the highlights in my life over the past few months. Not terribly exotic, but fully surrendered to Christ. And that’s what it’s all about – that’s truly living. I love and miss you guys – remember to keep praising!
