Hey ya'll! (Can't you just hear my southern accent coming back?)
James said to "count it all joy" so I'm counting...but that doesn't mean that I like it! :0)
That's right, I'm back in college. I got down to TN on Tuesday night, after a very LOOOONG drive (this due to terrible traffic, not my driving!). I was so happy to see my little house - my sis and I are sharing the left side of a duplex. It's quite lovely (though not designed by a perfectionist...I'm dealing with it - dumb crooked towel racks) and spacious. Of course, the spaciousness may be in part the fact that we have no furniture. :0) I sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag. But hey, carpet sure beats a dung floor, so I'm happy. Plus, it's really easy to make my bed in the morning.
On Wednesday I did a lot of necessary school things that really shouldn't be left to the last minute. Registration and other frustrating happenings. Oh, funny story! I went to WalMart to stock up on food items. On my way out I was very caught up in thought, and had issues getting the trunk of my car open. I'm ashamed to admit it, but it took me three unsuccessful (and probably very noticable) tries before I realize that it wasn't my car. In my defense, my car was only two parking spaces down.
Today (Thursday) was the first day of classes. My first class was at 8 am, so I made sure I left in plenty of time to get there and find a parking spot. Oh, you should all know that I live right, right, right next to the railroad tracks. There are a LOT of trains. In order to get to SAU, I have to cross the railroad track with the frequent trains. So I got stuck waiting for a freakishly long train, and praying that I would still make my very first class of the semester on time. I suspect this will happen every morning unless I begin to leave a little earlier. For those of you holding your breath and crossing your fingers...I did make it to class on time. Either that, or class started late. :0) It's all good.
One last thing...Daniel is so wonderful for setting this page up!!! You are my most favoritest computer wiz in the whole world (despite the fact that my page is now in Spanish!).
Well, all...I had better end this and head to home and my sleeping bag. I miss you all so much. Thank you for making my summer shine with Christ's light.
Blessings,
Alicia
